We are happy to release an update to OnTime Management Suite and OnTime Dispatch that will offer additional functionality to new and existing customers. Some of the new features in this update include:
- Enhanced: Ability to assign pickup and delivery drivers in bulk. When assigning a shipment or series of route stops to a different driver, the pickup and delivery drivers can be updated at the same time by selecting the appropriate checkboxes that have been added to the driver assignment dialog.
- New: Option to automatically sign in at startup. This will eliminate the need to manually sign in each time the program starts, but does require that the “remember password” option be enabled.
- New: Replication of company account data with SQL Server instances. This replication will copy data from your OnTime account to an instance of SQL Server Express 2005/2008 or SQL Server 2005/2008. This is useful for reporting scenarios or workflow processes that benefit from having direct access to a local copy of the OnTime data.
- Enhanced: The submission of new orders in Dispatch is now performed asynchronously and will not block the dispatcher from continuing to work while waiting for an order to be sent to the server and receiving the tracking number. Performance of the synchronization has also been increased by about 40%.
Existing OnTime company accounts have already been updated on the sever side, so to take advantage of this new version you simply need to download and install the updates to Management Suite and Dispatch. You can download those updates here:
